We understand that when it comes to safeguarding in school, you demand total peace of mind… and rightly so. That’s why we are committed to providing the best quality and best practice in everything we do.

QT Education is an accredited member of The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and has unlimited access to the REC’s in-house Legal Team of Lawyers and Legal Advisors.

We adopt a robust recruitment and selection process that is run in-house to ensure we maintain complete control over candidate vetting at every step of the process.

To ensure total peace of mind, we meticulously complete the following compliance checks for each and every candidate we represent:


  • Face-to-face interview based on the professional teacher competencies

  • A new Enhanced DBS disclosure or completion of the DBS Update Service

  • Overseas police check (obtained for every country if the candidate has lived outside of the UK for more than 6 months within the last 5 years)

  • Two proofs of address (dated within the last 3 months)

  • Proof of National Insurance Number

  • Children’s Barred List checks (Formerly List 99)

  • Restriction Check

  • Medical Health Checks to ensure all candidates are fit to work with children

  • Original qualification checks

  • QTS and induction status confirmed by the DfE

  • Eligibility to work in the UK (including Visa checks where applicable)

  • Proof of Identity (Photo ID and address checks)

  • Minimum of two satisfactory professional references


You will receive a document detailing all these checks complete with photo ID prior to each teacher’s first day of work. We will also include their Teacher Reference Number and Date of Birth to ensure you have everything you need to upload their details on to SIMS!
