As the founder and director of QT Education, Jon’s heart is very much in education. Coming from a family of teachers and having spent four years teacher training at John Moores University in Liverpool, Jon’s aim for QT Education is to offer schools and teachers an honest, trusted and reliable recruitment service.
Jon began his career in the education recruitment industry in 2005 working for a national agency. After 8 years in this environment, he wished to offer schools and teachers a more personal, trusted and honest service and consequently made the brave decision to start QT Education, this specialist agency for secondary schools and teachers.
Since it was established in 2011, the business has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the leading agencies for secondary teachers and schools within the South West. Schools appreciate the honest, transparent, reliable and cost effective service we offer, with teachers welcoming the personal and friendly approach we adopt.
Ros Tharme

Ros began her recruitment career in 2007 starting a new division in a well-known national agency where she recruited office support workers for businesses. Ros soon became recognised as a recruiter who listens to client’s requirements and very effectively matches the skills and experience of candidates towards specific roles. Ros has an absolute passion for customer service with candidates instantly warming to her caring and approachable nature.
With the QT Education business growing so rapidly in the first year, it made complete sense for Jon and Ros to become a married couple ‘dream team’. Since joining the business in 2012, Ros is loved by schools and teachers alike, she works tirelessly to ensure the service she provides is first class.
Ros and Jon now have two young children and balance their lives between the business and family. This family business truly cares about the people they represent and understands the pressures of everyday life and the need to secure appropriate work to all of life’s commitments!
Chris Bishop
Associate Director
Chris entered the world of recruitment at the beginning of 2008 and worked for several years at a national recruitment agency with Jon. It was here that he established a strong reputation within the South West education market. His passion for customer service mixed with his desire to always do the right thing for the candidates he represents, ensures that he has become a trusted and very approachable partner for both schools and teachers alike.
Over the years, Chris and Jon have remained very close friends and always talked about the possibility of once again joining forces. In early 2015, Chris had an opportunity to join the QT Education team and he now manages the secondary qualified teacher market across Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Chris has established the online presence and social media platforms for QT Education and he works hard to ensure our network of schools and teachers feel engaged and a part of the QT Education family!
